Irish businesses require practical solutions to reduce costs and emissions while remaining competitive. To address this, Cork Chamber hosted two REEValue events in October 2024, bringing together Irish and international experts. The first event emphasised sustainable practices as growth drivers.
Speakers such as Ballymaloe Foods shared their insights on cost-saving energy solutions and other sustainability initiatives. A dedicated financing session outlined energy grant opportunities for SMEs through SEAI, LEOs, and EENergy.
Following the first event, REEValue Consortium partners went on a site visit to The English Market, where they explored sustainable upgrades, such as solar roofing, rainwater collection systems, and waste management improvements. The second day featured an engaging workshop led by REEValue’s EU partners, ENSO and Climeaction.
This session focused on collaborative sustainability actions in the value chain, cost reduction strategies, and networking opportunities. These events reinforced our commitment to aligning growth with sustainability, empowering businesses to adopt energy-efficient practices and contribute to broader environmental goals.
