REEValue is a European Commission-funded initiative that supports businesses in the food, beverage, and transport sectors in improving energy efficiency and investing in renewable energy sources. Our goal is to enable companies in these industries to reduce energy consumption, enhance sustainability, and transition to renewable energy.
The REEValue project is focused on fostering collaborations among businesses operating within specific NACE codes in the food, beverage, and transport sectors. Our primary objective is to identify and implement energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy (RES) opportunities. To achieve this, we gather up-to-date technical information on EE, RES, and collaboration models, align these data with available financial support mechanisms, and translate it into easily understandable resources for businesses.
The REEValue Consortium brings together expertise from eight organisations across Belgium, Greece, Ireland, Malta, Italy and Portugal.
The Energy and Water Agency of Malta (EWA) are the Consortium Project Coordinators.
The Consortium is comprised by National Agencies (EWA and CRES), Technical Expertise (AEMS and UNIBS), Business Representatives (AIP, Cork Chamber, ECSLA, and MBB), and a Best-Practice Case Study (Sammontana Italia). Together, we combine our skills and knowledge to drive energy transformation in key European industries.

REEValue is expected to lead to a significant increase in the adoption of energy-efficient practices and renewable energy solutions among participating companies, contributing to reduced energy consumption and environmental impact. Additionally, businesses will gain improved access to financing options tailored to their EE, RES, and collaboration projects, enhancing their capacity to implement sustainable initiatives.
Through planned one-to-one business meetings, mentorship sessions, workshops and an international conference, the project aims to strengthen businesses’ ability to engage in value-chain collaborations effectively, paving the way for continued progress in sustainable energy practices across Europe.
